The cast and film crew of Bailout arranged to come on location and interview us and our friends.
The film crew arrived at suppertime and 3 gallons of chili later we were all very relaxed and chatting like old friends. Sean the director of the project is very adept at making people feel at ease.
You have heard the phrase "love me, love my dog"? - well let me tell you the crew not only incorporated the dogs - they gave the dogs lots of special attention. The dogs were so spoiled by all the extra attention that they wanted to hop in the RV's and go on the road trip with the film crew!

John Titus is a wonderful producer / interviewer who took time to get to know each person and has a story of his own that will be great to follow as time progresses. John Fox has a great sense of humor and is knowledgeable on the role of the banks and the amount of greed in this country making his role in the project one of not just humor and interviewing, but also one of blunt truth about what is happening in America.
The shooting of the stories takes time. You may think on location, live interview - 10 minutes. NO - on location, live interview involves setting up lighting, sound and each person on the team is a magician in their specialties of sound, light and "gopher it." It is not unusual for the film crew to have very long days with travel and interviewing. As a team they are close, almost like a family. All in all, it was a great evening and the team is on the road again; headed to New Mexico, Texas, Kentucky and then Chicago.
Watch for updates on their blog and on their website http://usabailout.com.
Also, watch on this blog for updated personal stories. Looking back on the film experience, there were stories and concepts we wished we had told during the filming. For instance we only talked of our main home foreclosure and not the affects of our 2 investment properties. Funny thing, we lost money on the "investments". 35 years of house payments and nothing to show for it. If you missed our recent story of eviction you can find two posts:
