Nevada Foreclosures Fall, Still Lead Nation - Las Vegas News Story - KVVU Las Vegas: "One in every 79 homes in the Silver State received a foreclosure filing in October, the agency found. That total --14,205 properties -- was a decrease of 13 percent from September, but an increase of three percent from October 2009.
Foreclosure activity in Las Vegas increased less than 1 percent from October 2009, the agency found, with one in every 70 homes receiving a filing.
Nevada’s foreclosure rate is nearly five times the national average, RealtyTrac reported.
For the 20th consecutive month, more than 300,000 homes nationwide received a foreclosure notice, said RealtyTrac Chief Executive Officer James Saccacio."
