Is The Future Of Politics A Tea-Partier Who Was Nearly Foreclosed On Her Home?: "But maybe a lot of voters can relate to her
The reason, state GOP officials argue, is that O'Donnell is simply unqualified to hold office. A two-time losing candidate against then-Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. - whose old seat she and Castle are seeking - O'Donnell has a history of financial difficulties documented in the Wilmington News Journal that includes an IRS lien, a near-foreclosure on her mortgage and a dispute with her alma mater for not paying college expenses. She has a tiny campaign operation and, for most of the year, she received virtually no grass-roots financial support within Delaware."

Brand new today SEPT 8 2010 New FHA Mortgage Refinance Program Aimed at 11 Million Homeowners Underwater - Real Estate Channel Global News Center
New FHA Mortgage Refinance Program Aimed at 11 Million Homeowners Underwater - Real Estate Channel Global News Center: "About 1.5 million of the 11 million U.S. homeowners who owe more on their mortgage than their home is worth could be catching a break shortly.A new Federal Home Administration refinance program kicked off Tuesday, Sept.7.
The government has earmarked $14 billion in Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) funds to support the program.
The latest data from CoreLogic shows that some 11 million borrowers were in a negative equity position as of the end of June, reports DSNews.com. That equates to 23 percent of all U.S. residential properties with a mortgage."
To facilitate the refinancing of new FHA-insured loans under the program, the U.S. Department of Treasury says it will provide incentives to existing second lien holders who agree to "full or partial extinguishments" of the liens.

By Stephanie Armour, USA TODAY A new federal rule this year requiring mortgage lenders to give borrowers reliable estimates of closing costs appears to be working — whether it's also costing borrowers more money is uncertain. A recent survey by Bankrate.com found that, on average, origination and third-party fees on a $200,000 purchase mortgage added up to $3,741 — a 37% jump over last year's average of $2,739. |

Home mortgage interest deduction - Is it in DANGER?
Please retweet this blogpost if you find it helpful in learning about government mortgage homeownership and bank loan modifications
Okay I admit it, I cruise through talk radio stations (minus sports selections) while driving. Today, I had one hour in the car and Rush Limbaugh caught my attention (for at least 15 minutes) with his prediction that the home mortgage interest deduction is in danger of being eliminated by this administration. Hearing this and knowing how my business friends think, well - if I was a dog my ears would have been standing upright with my head cocked to one side!
He gave a synopsis that made sense. According to Rush the news today of how much our country is SPENDING, in giving tax deductions, is a signal that the administration would like to eliminate the POPULAR home mortgage interest deduction from the tax code. I immediately came home and googled my request and VOILA' , I see that there is merit to this prediction.
I have been wondering how long it would be before the tax code was overhauled to effectively raise taxes and now I know... it's just a matter of time before the interest deduction slips away into the night along with other beneficial motives to spend money in directed areas such as eduation. Here are some articles that might give you a bit more information about the changes coming down the pike and not just about the home interest deductions! These articles are about the changes coming in 2011

Our fight for main home! WE are going to trial
Exploring all options. it looks as if the trial we requested is our best option. It is intimidating knowing that you cannot afford a lawyer that has the experience and ability to give credence to your case. It is VERY INTIMIDATING to realize that you are going up against the largest and most powerful lawfirm in the state, dealing with mortgages, foreclosures and evictions.
Where we could get real help with the law is too expensive or not available. The lawyers that KNOW what they are doing are few and far between and cost a fortune IF they have the time available to take you. We have no doubt that if we could afford 5-10K to save our homes we could. We have found lawyers in last month than what we could find available earlier last year. Last year it seemed all the lawyers encouraged bankruptcy. Maybe we learned to search better.
If you are facing any problems with debt fraud, home mortgage foreclosure or unlawful collection practices, you may want to check out the legal referral pages at NACA.com.
Best wishes to you, and post here if you want to share your experience.
