West Valley City gets help with foreclosures: "The money is the third round of funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program,.

The program is providing $6 billion nationwide to communities to address the foreclosure crises.

“The funds we received have had a significant impact on helping to address foreclosures in Avondale,” said Gina Montes, Avondale’s director of Neighborhood and Family Services.

Avondale received $2.4 million in the first round which was used to develop a comprehensive program to address foreclosures in the city."
