Arizona foreclosures down 37 percent

NOTE:  Not sure if I buy this totally but I suppose there might be drop in foreclosures if the HARP 2 has gone well and if banks are actually living up to any of the promises … .I still find it hard to believe that foreclosures are cut back this far – given the amount of angst I’ve seen economically in the past 12 months.

REPORT: Arizona's foreclosure activity declined 37 percent in the first half of 2012 compared to last year, according to RealtyTrac.

A total of 49,157 properties in the state had at least one foreclosure filing during the six-month period.

Foreclosure filings were linked to 1.73 percent of the state's homes, or one of every 58 homes.
