9/11 tribute - twitter style: in 140 words or less

Every year on twitter the words WE WILL NOT FORGET appear in the timeline along with the most common 911 or #911.   They are posted  and retweeted and shared.  People share memories of that day in 140 words or less.

Americans have vowed to make sure that we are never caught off guard again and that our fellow citizens, whether victim, family member or first responder and family WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED.

This year there are lots of distractions, the economy both local and global is a huge distraction. Issues such as freedom of religious speech, the right to build a mosque, and even Reality TV shows have pulled and tugged at the time taken to remember.  Last night was the big Standup2cancer show.  Even diseases are having a tug at the distraction cords of the 9/11 memorials.  But as Americans we can fight and focus on many things and still stop to pay respects.

I have added the twitter feed for #911  and for we will never forget - to the right.    Add your tweet  on twitter or simply hit the retweet button above and voice your support for 9/11 memorials.
